Jenkins is truly one of the most exciting playmakers I have seen in San Diego this season. The undersized athlete is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Daesean has incredible vision and change of direction ability that allows him to find openings in the defense and then outrun most defenders. He did not become the primary back for the Monarchs until about the 4th game of the season. He still managed to finish with over 1100 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns on almost 10 yards per carry. In addition, he also proved to be a weapon on special teams. He returned both a kickoff and a punt for scores. Jenkins played less on defense as his offensive role expanded but he was a sure tackler who returned an interception for a touchdown against Montgomery. Monte Vista will need Jenkins in all three phases of the game to keep this one close.
