Cruse is definitely a big back who can run like the wind. He has the size you want from a power back, but what really stands out is how fast he can get moving once he hits the hole. Cruse can run through contact, get to the second level and then pull away from defenders with his speed.

He is not just a back who is looking to run people over either. When he gets into open space, he has another gear and can turn a normal carry into a big play. That combination of size and speed makes Cruse a tough matchup for defenses.

Cruse delivered a dominant season on the ground, piling up 2,524 rushing yards and finding the end zone 36 times, establishing himself as one of the most productive playmakers in his class. He runs with a strong, physical presence while still showing the burst to break away from defenders in the open field. His vision stands out, consistently finding lanes, setting up blocks, and turning small creases into explosive gains. Cruse shows excellent patience behind the line, allowing plays to develop before hitting holes with authority.

What separates him even more is his balance and contact strength—he consistently fights through arm tackles and keeps his legs driving to pick up extra yards. He’s a reliable chain-mover who can also flip the field in a single play. Expect a big season from cruse in 2026.
