Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Rozeboom lowered the boom on both of sides of the line of scrimmage last fall. The junior was credited with 11 pancake blocks as an offensive lineman, and came up with 16.5 tackles, six of which were solo stops on the D-Line. He proved disruptive with four tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. Rozeboom shows his work during his 11th-grade highlight video. He is a force at center, exploding into the chest of the opponent off of the snap and quickly gaining an advantage. Rozeboom’s strength and powerful push overwhelm the guy across from him. His hands are active and help him control the defender through the play and the whistle. They aid in pass protection, where balance and smooth footwork also contribute to success. The skills that make for an effective center translate well to defensive tackle. There’s a path to next-level playing time on both sides of the ball for Rozebloom, but the upside at center definitely is worth exploring.
