Colt is a two-way player and is an effective piece in the trenches. I prefer him as a defensive lineman. He has good footwork, is light on his feet, has the short-area burst needed, and shows good lateral quickness. He does a good job of getting the advantage off the line with his quickness, and he does a good job of overwhelming his blocker. He has active hands and uses them to finish off his lineman. He’s a player who can bring pressure up the middle, and he does a good job at being a run-stuffing defensive lineman.

Rushton had a solid showing as a defensive lineman. He advanced his position all night long and was too much for his lineman. He showed his strength and his physicality on the night with 5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks, he was arguably the best defensive player for Canyon View.

Rushton is a versatile athlete who can play on both sides of the ball and be an offensive tackle, and offensive guard, and then on the defense can line up as an edge rusher or defensive tackle. For his size, I like him best as a defensive tackle and his frame can let him get to 260-270 and be fine athletically. Rushton is a strong and physical player with a good first step, showcases active hands, and can swipe and brush his blocker away. He is a player who has good physicality in his game and can work as a run-stuffing defensive tackle. Rushton can be a bigger-sized edge rusher and hold his gap assignment and pursue the ball carrier.
