This is my first look at McBrayer, who was one of the most productive 3A junior RBs in Georgia last fall. Strong, well-developed player with a low center of gravity at 5’11 195. His contact balance is impressive, and he will drop his shoulder to end runs if needed as well. He is quick in the short areas, hits openings hard, and has enough juice to squeeze the most out of open space. Love the patience and technique he plays with, along with his physicality. Small school programs here in Georgia need to make sure this kid is on their radar.
A tough and effective runner flying under the radar in Dawsonville, Mcbrayer is a Dawson County ball-carrier who shined all season long as a junior this fall. He runs behind his pads, can power through weak tackles, and was easily one of the best backs in the region and across that area of North Georgia. The 5-foot-11 195-pounder ran for 1,162 yards and 13 touchdowns in just nine games, rushing for at least 100 yards in five of those games. He averaged an impressive 6.5 yards per carry and 129 yards per game this season. He was extremely productive, dependable, and good enough to be added to the latest 2027 Prep Redzone. He’s now ranked as the No. 54 RB prospect in the state.
Another North Georgia running back to keep an eye on, Mcbrayer is a physical runner who doesn’t mind contact. He brings good size and can really wear down on defenses as the game moves along. The 5-foot-11 195-pounder has run for 714 yards so far this season along with nine touchdowns. He’s averaging 6.2 yards per carry and just under 120 yards per game. He’s rushed for at least one touchdown in five of his six games and has rushed for multiple touchdowns in three games. He’s one of the best backs in the Dawsonville area and will be added to the next 2027 Prep Redzone rankings after a big junior season so far.
