Pollard immediately stood out with his length, fluid athleticism, and expansive catch radius. He consistently used his frame to create advantages at the catch point, boxing out defenders naturally while finishing through contact with strong hands. Contested catches became a strength rather than a challenge.

His tracking ability also separated him from many of the other receivers in attendance. Pollard adjusted naturally to the football downfield and consistently high-pointed throws with timing and body control. He looked comfortable making difficult grabs outside of his frame.
