Expert Analysis

I’ve highlighted Kinlaw before, but I will do it again, because his playmaking ability at his size deserves way more recognition. Really interesting resume as a prospect. He has plenty of production as an RB, but I think he can also find a home at TE or LB. Nearly impossible to tackle in space when he gets rolling. He moves 215 fast and will physically engage defenders in space. I can see a world where his home is at TE, where you can flip the ball to him in the flat and let him roll, while mixing in some wildcat opportunities. Regardless, a true gadget player who is one of the best big playmakers in the state.

One of the top 2027 running backs in Savannah, Kinlaw is a big, punishing back who can also catch passes out of the backfield. He brings a lot of versatility for someone his size, and even though he only played in the first eight games, he showed enough on tape to be included in the latest 2027 Prep Redzone rankings. The big, tackle-breaking back stands at 6-foot-2 215-pounds and ran for an impressive 847 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging over 100 yards per game and 6.3 yards per carry. He also caught 24 passes for 238 yards and two more scores. He’s now ranked as the No. 35 overall running back prospect in the state.

A big, tackle-breaking back with consistent hands out of the backfield, Kinlaw is off to a breakout junior season as he’s ran for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a heavy back who runs hard behind his pads, isn’t afraid of contact, and breaks tackles all game long. He’s tough to bring down and does a good job of keeping the chains moving. He’s been a consistent option out of the backfield, averaging just under eight yards a carry through his first 37 carries. He brings a physical style of play and is hoping to keep wearing down on defenses throughout his junior season this fall. He’s another back who should be a new Prep Redzone ranking during the next update this winter.
