Player Notes: Mitchell picked up his first FCS offer on the camp circuit from Southern Utah and is one of the top returning rushers in Idaho. He is a quick twitched and elusive back with a nice burst through he first level, open field speed and good contact balance/vision in tight windows. He should be a 1,000 yard rusher this year and is going to see many accolades come his way after the season.

Mitchell is a big play and explosive runner that looks for contact in the hole and has home run speed in the clear. He can make defenders miss in the hole, shows good vision in tight windows and cutback abilities and is a smooth runner that bounces off tacklers and can fall forward with natural forward lean and leg drive through contact. His physical running style and strong build/fluid movements in space make him a solid prospect for the college ranks and he should draw plenty of next level attention. He checks into our rankings as a top 40 player in the state and should be near the top of the rushing leaders by this time next year.

Mitchell who is the top running back in our current rankings in the ’27 class, and is another prospect that is off to a hot start in 2025 for Highland. Through 2 weeks of play he has rushed for 281 yards and 5 TD’s while tacking on another 90 yards receiving for 1 score. He is averaging 140 yards per game through the first 2 weeks and is looking to have a truly breakout season for the Rams. Mitchell is another no-brainer next level guy that should draw plenty of college attention this off-season.

Mitchell checks into our rankings as the top rated running back in the 2027 class and is a very explosive and elusive ball carrier with plenty of varsity experience. He is a natural runner with forward lean, contact balance through the first level and is tough to bring down in open space due to shore area quickness and his ability to make defenders miss in tight windows. He shows a natural burst in the open field on hitting the third gear and will be one of the top rushers across Idaho for the next two seasons. He is without a doubt a college level running back that will only continue to grow and develop for Highland.

Mitchell is an impressive sophomore who played big time minutes for Highland this season. A back with great speed and agility that is really able to make defenders miss in space. He shows good patience at the line of scrimmage and then is not afraid to run downhill with authority. Has sold hands out of the backfield that makes him a multidimensional threat. He is the next in a long line of great runningbacks to come out of Highland.

Mitchell is a rising player in the 2027 class rankings as he is able to do a little bit of everything. He can run the football with great vision and timing but then is able to split out to catch the football as well. He is a smooth route runner with the ability to create separation and the speed to be vertical threat over the top.

Mitchell is one of the top players in the class of 2027 in the state of Idaho with his blend of size and speed. He is a home run hitter that is able to really get to the edge of the defense and take off. He shows good balance and vision for a player that is just a sophomore.
