With good vision and cutting ability, he allows blocks to develop. When hitting the second level, he flashes advanced contact balance for his frame and finds yards after the initial tackle attempt. His burst and long speed can create chunk plays and force defenses to take good angles.

Outside of being a traditional back, Owens is fully comfortable lining up on the outside.   He has reliable hands out of the backfield and solid pace when running routes.
