2027 Long Beach (MS) DB Carlos Finch Jr has a lot of the physical traits colleges look for in a defensive back. Finch Jr paired his 6’2 185 frame with strong testing numbers, posting a 4.44 shuttle, 4.71 40, and 7.2 L Drill. I did not get an extensive look at the defensive backs during position work, but the combination of size and athleticism was hard to overlook. Finch Jr is already generating interest from small colleges and junior colleges, but I think he has the tools to attract attention from bigger programs. His length allows him to be disruptive around the football, and he has the athleticism to cover ground effectively. Long term, I see safety as his best fit at the next level, where his size, range, and physical traits are assets.
