Weigel is a high caliber tackle prospect that can play anywhere on the offensive line and has the ideal length, natural bend and feet/movement in space for the FBS level. He snaps out of his stance and plays within his frame with a inside punch, nice base and leg drive through his progression and shows he can base and combo to the second level when needed. He is seemingly comfortable blocking in space, cutting off flowing defenders and can stay patient with well timed punches pass protection and knows when to anchor down or stay patient for counters inside. He currently holds offers from Cal Poly, SJSU, Brown and Cornell and is one of the better available OL prospects left in Northern California.

Notes: Weigel has tons of upside and untapped potential for the position and is a very athletic and natural bender in and out of his stance that excels at blocking in space and has some violent finish as well. He is technically sound, snaps out of his stance and does a nice job using his length in pass protection. Other high academic/FCS schools should come knocking as well as we move through the spring and summer.
