Cannon shows on film as a confident passer who is comfortable operating the offense and distributing the football. Displays solid footwork in the pocket and does a good job keeping his eyes downfield while working through his progressions. Throws with good timing and touch, allowing his receivers to make plays in stride. Also shows the ability to extend plays when pressure arrives, moving outside the pocket and keeping the play alive while looking for an open target.
