Brian Jerzak | Prep Redzone Scout
Thinesen is another strong-armed quarterback in the 2024 class. He can push the ball down the field effectively when he sets his feet. When asked to throw, he is more of a drop-back passer than Viland. He has good touch on his short to mid-range throws and is accurate from that distance when on the move. He is asked to run on designed runs a fair amount. He runs the option well, and when asked to keep the ball, he shows his athletic ability with an explosive running style and has good vision and quicker feet than I initially thought.

The 6’2″ QB out of Dassel- Cokato was another standout participate during the camp. He first caught my eyes with his athleticism. Caleb jumped 33.2″ in the vertical. That was just a glimpse into what his film shows. That is a dual threat at the QB position. An athlete who can hurt a defense on the ground, but still relies on his arm first and will instead use that mobility to buy time. Thinesen also impressed me with solid arm strength. Enough arm strength to be able to attack the short and intermediate levels with velocity and deep downfield with touch. Check out his tape below.
