Caleb is a player who was a big part of Magruder’s success this past fall. He had a break out season and ended up being named team MVP. In 2025 Caleb rushed for 1311 yds, 5 TD, on 218 carries for 6.01 YPC. A nice combination of speed/burst and power. Caleb will hit the hole with explosiveness and accelerate past defenders, but is not shy of running through them and lowering his shoulder as well. He will fight for yards and run behind his pads. Caleb also shows nice patience and nimble feet at the LOS. He can find space and wait for the right lane to hit, making defenders miss with jump cuts and changes of speed to mess with their angles.

A RB poised to have another huge year next fall and take on an even bigger role in the Magruder offense. Look for Caleb to turn heads next fall.

Smallwood shows strong first-step explosion on multiple inside handoffs in his highlights. I think his acceleration is solid through the first and second levels. Smallwood separates from linebackers quickly once he clears traffic. He has a good number of explosive plays, a few 25-plus yard runs are in his highlights.

I like his inside vision. Smallwood presses downhill decisively and consistently finds the seam to run though. He does a good job of pressing the inside before bouncing outside on a few of his runs. Like the other backs in his article, he’s a one-cut type of back.

Smallwood finishes runs with authority, multiple runs show him getting yards after contact. I’d like to see him continue to work on the top-end speed so that some of those long runs end up as touchdowns.
