Rye was primarily a tackle at Ontario Christian last season but may be an interior guy at Centennial as a senior.

He took most reps at tackle Sunday and did a good job riding out the speedy edge rushers and taking them outside. He drops anchor well against power moves and is a tough guy to drive backwards. His initial punch was strong as well and it will be interesting to see him take the step forward in competition level this season.

Excellent size, length, and frame at 6’5” 300 lbs. He’s an aggressive blocker with good finishing ability using his natural strength and power at the POA. He’s smart with his attack angles and adjusts well on the fly to break down and hit a target in space. Heavy hands, his initial punch is powerful and does a good job extending out and repositioning when knocked down by opponents. Active and sustained hand usage throughout the play allows him to control defenders and latch on. Functional athlete that shows good bend and that he can move his feet laterally at the LOS or work to the second level/perimeter. He’s a high upside prospect that just pulled in his first offer from UNLV and should see his recruitment on the rise going into his junior season.
