Caleb Lovely Caleb Lovely KY is regarded as one of the top defensive linemen in Kentucky, and for good reason. Lovely is versatile and can play both DT and DE for Magoffin County. Lovely has quick hands against his opposing linemen, using pass-rush techniques like swim moves, chops, or swipe downs to help his way into the offensive backfield. He isn’t the fastest, but he makes up for it by providing high energy and effort to every play. He doesn’t just give up on plays, but instead breaks off his block and pursues the football. In one instance this past season, Lovely provided a chase-down tackle that forced the game-winning fumble and subsequent recovery.

Lovely is a skilled pass rusher, using his quick pass rush moves and strength to defeat blocks with ease on his way to the quarterback. Once he gets to the quarterback, Lovely does a great job of finishing the play, finishing his sophomore season with 6.5 sacks in 10 games. He was also dominant against the run, recording a team-high 60 tackles and 15.5 tackles for loss as a sophomore. Lovely is a player who college coaches should definitely have on their radar heading into his junior year.

Caleb explodes out of his stance and uses his strength to fight through blocks with ease on his way to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he is a very reliable tackler, finishing this season with a team-high 60 tackles and 15 tackles for loss in 10 games. He has also shown impressive pass rush moves, followed by the ability to finish at the quarterback, finishing the year with 6.5 sacks. Lovely doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on heading into his junior year.
