About Caleb
Expert Analysis

Foley’s size and speed stand out and he’s a guy we continue to feel good about in the rankings. As a freshman, he picked off two passes, impressive given he was projected to be a high-level run defender first and foremost. This season, expect more out of him in terms of on-field production, should he get more opportunities.

Caleb is one of our top linebackers ranked in the 2028 class, and he showed well here when I went back and watched some video. Caleb moved well throughout the individual position portion of the showcase, and held his own during the pass game 1 on 1’s against running backs. In his sophomore year, I expect Caleb to take a jump both instinctually on the field and in his physicality on the defensive side of the football.

Foley has both the size and athleticism to cause issues for opposing offenses. He lined up in a variety of positions last season, but his highest upside is as an off-ball linebacker. He has advanced coverage skills, as evidenced by his two interceptions for West Stanley last year. The defense loses a few seniors, so he should have more opportunities as a sophomore.

A true off-ball linebacker, Foley thrived early as a freshman, making plenty of tackles and picking off two passes against Piedmont. He has excellent size and the frame to continue to add weight later. Foley reads and diagnoses run plays quickly, allowing him to shoot gaps and put himself in a position to make impact plays.

Long outside linebacker that also plays running back on the offensive side of the ball. Sure tackler that shows off a lot of range and excellent mobility for an eighth-grade prospect. Doubles as a standout baseball player as well. Will likely be at West Stanly High School in the fall.
