The Senior tackle for Northwood has all the qualities you want in someone starting on the outside. Elite length, has good footwork, and is fairly strong naturally. He’s also someone you can tell spends time working on his mechanics outside of the season. He’s not heavy-footed and gets off the ball well. When they need chunk plays they look to get behind Davis and let him clear the way. He’s steady and reliable which is just as valuable as the talent.

I always try and take care of the big guys up front, because without them there is no football. These camps are loaded with skilled position players, so the OL/DL and QBs typically get a big advantage with the coaching and getting to know the coaches there. One guy who took full advantage was Davis. Not only did his drill work look good, his footwork improve just in that hour alone, but he had the best testing of the OL group. He cleaned the board with the best 40 at 5.35, the shuttle at 4.96, and the broad jump at 8’4″. Small school guys coming to camps and taking full advantage and putting themselves on the map is what I love about these camps. Davis has the frame, experience, and build to be successful at the next level. Whoever takes a shot on him will very likely be rewarded down the road with a starter.
