Gault was an all-region performer a year ago. Another year of elite production proves he wasn’t a one-hit wonder. He is a tough, smooth athlete who is light on his feet. He has the foot speed to stack moves and deceive defenders as a ball carrier, plus the burst to get out and run. He flips around and plays corner as well, where his footwork helps him match release points and carry routes. He has good ball skills and can play bigger than listed. Gault is a game wrecker on both sides of the ball, and is doing it without major recruiting attention.
An Augusta-area back off to a terrific start to his junior season, Gault is one of the region’s fastest backs and has shown it every week so far in 2026. The 5-foot-10 170-pounder from Evans, Georgia has been tough to corral through his first five games, rushing for 783 yards and seven touchdowns so far this fall. He’s rushed for at least 100 yards in every game and has rushed for at least one touchdown in four of his first five games. His biggest game came in week one against Harlem where he took off for 231 yards and one touchdown. He’s averaging 9.1 yards a carry right now and is showing everyone that he can certainly play at the D1 level down the road.
Gault played both ways and was extremely impressive against Harlem, rushing for over 300 yards and adding a pick-six on defense. His short-area quickness is truly impressive and could even be considered elite. He is a slippery player who is tough to catch in the short areas, pairing that make-miss ability with the speed to lift off. A productive year is on the horizon for Gault.
A speedy athlete who can make plays in all three phases of the game, Gault is an explosive young prospect who showed plenty of natural speed and big-play ability on offense last fall as a sophomore. A natural runner with impressive elusiveness and breakaway speed, Gault shined in his second season, earning 2nd-Team All-Region Honors. The playmaking defensive back has a chance to take on an even bigger role as a running back this upcoming season as a junior. His stock is on the rise and he has a chance to be one of the top backs in the Augusta area for the 2028 class.
A quick, shifty runner who shows natural athleticism and a feel for the position, Gault is a two-way standout at 5-foot-10 170-pounds who is still flying under the radar in the Augusta area. The slipper running back can change directions quickly, shows good burst, and the ability to break off a big run once he gets though the trenches and into the open field. He’s an active runner with good balance, vision, and the ability to have a tremendous junior season in 2028. If he continues to improve and adds more weight, Gault will be tough to stop and could garner some serious D1 interest and possible offers down the road.
