Engroff is a powerful downhill runner that looks for contact in the hole, shows he can bounce off arm tackles in space and always falls forward when gaining the tough yards inside and has the ability to bounce it outside if needed. He is a smooth runner that stays patient behind his blocks with cutback abilities and has a burst after the first level while running behind pads with proper leverage and forward lean through contact. He is also a natural pass catcher out of the backfield with consistent hands, quickly knifes upfield and can make off-platform plays in open space with body control and balance. He checks into our ranks as a top 3 back in the class and just inside the top 40 overall across Idaho.

Engroff is having a terrific start to his Junior season campaign for this loaded Timberline squad and should be drawing plenty of college interest this off-season on either side of the ball. He is a downhill and physical back that shows a strong initial burst, contact balance through the hole and has cutback abilities and vision in tight windows. He is also a receiving threat out of the backfield and is a mismatch on linebackers in the flats while able to quickly turn upfield and gain positive yards from the backfield or in the slot.

Engroff is without a doubt one of the top ball carriers in the 2027 class across the state. He is a well balanced runner that shows plus vision through the first two levels, can cut in and out of his breaks with twitchy sudden movements and is tough to bring down in the open field. He is a compact and well built runner that runs behind his pads, seemingly always falls forward and looks for contact in the hole. Look for Engroff to really breakout in 2025 and be a key name to note amongst the running backs in Idaho.

Engroff checks into our running back rankings as the number two ball carrier in the state and is coming off a solid sophomore season at the varsity level for Timberline. He is an explosive ball carrier that is a low to the ground and compact runner that shows tremendous contact balance, leg drive, and looks for contact in the hole. He is a true twitchy north and south runner that has good vision in tight windows and cut-back abilities in the open field. He also shows he can catch the ball out of the backfield with a big catch radius and knows how to quickly knife up-field from the flats. He should be in line for a huge Junior season and be one of the states top rushers in 2025.
