It would not be surprising if a FCS school moves in on him and offers as he is without a doubt a key name to watch this Fall.

Dorning is a hybrid player on the edge and can provide a versatile skillset in college depending on scheme fit in the box. He is a long and rangy player that can get off the ball, bend the corner and has active hands and hips at the top of his rush with closing speed and long strides to cover ground backside. He shows a heavy inside strike with a quick shed in the run game while able to come up and set the edge, take on blocks and shut down half the field. Overall, he is a balanced edge defender with a diverse skillset and has the ideal length and range for the next level and is a high floor guy.

He is explosive, plays with good twitch and natural bend around the corner with violent hands and can track ball carriers down backside. Look for Dorning to gather some FCS interest down the road as well.

Dorning is a big and physical athlete but should find his home as an edge at the next level as he continues to grow and develop. He has the frame to continue to pack on weight and muscle over the next two years and is a very intriguing prospect with tons of untapped potential. He moves extremely well for his size, is explosive off the ball with violent hands and sudden movement abilities when pass rushing. He shows great backside pursuit, the ability to get off blocks quickly and closes rapidly. Offensively, he is a bruising back that looks for contact in the hole and has a rare combination of size and speed.
