An Atlanta-area linebacker flying under the radar in the 2028 class, Flounory is a disruptive defender with impressive quickness and burst, allowing him to shoot the gaps and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. A good overall athlete who can also line up at running back, Flounory shined on both sides of the ball and made a bigger impact that most sophomores would. He plays hard, tackles well, and should be even better as a junior for Cedar Grove in 2026. His recruitment is starting to pick up and he’s added recent offers this spring from Samford and Alabama State with more likely heading his way.

An impressive two-way defender on the rise in the Atlanta area, Brendan Flounory is a running back and linebacker for Cedar Grove who showed a lot of promise last year as a sophomore. At linebacker, the 5 foot 9, 185 pound defender was quick, active, and showed he could make a secure tackle in the open field. He made a lot of plays in the backfield and did it as a sophomore against really quality competition. At running back, he was a consistent weapon out of the backfield, he runs with power, and should see more carries come his way as a junior in 2026. He’s one of the top two-way players returning in the region for his class and will be an easy addition to the 2028 Prep Red Zone rankings in the next update.
