Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Walker has taken over the reigns as QB1 at Hempstead in 2026 after serving as a backup during his sophomore season of 2025. He spent his first two years in the program developing for his time on the varsity, as we see during his ninth-grade and 10th-grade highlight videos. He threw for 12 touchdowns and ran for three scores on the sophomore team last fall. Through two games this fall, while facing a pair of tough opponents, Walker completed almost 63 percent of his passes for 365 yards and three touchdowns. Those statistics come in the face of defenses taking away the Mustang running game. On a 68-yard TD toss against Kennedy, Walker’s pocket presence and ability to slide up and around in it are highlighted. Most of the video features his feel and calmness under pressure. In addition to mobility, Walker can ding defenses with his legs running the ball. Arm strength is there with more to come following further physical development.
