Braylon Hayes
About Braylon
Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Next up we have the long, lean OLB for Verona. Braylon is a 6’4″ 190 lbs prospect that will need time to fill out that frame at the next level, but the athletic side of his game is well worth the look. Braylon is an agile athlete with a nice burst to close on the ball. He has some experience dropping into coverage from the edge position and looks comfortable sliding laterally within his zone. As he gains that size and strength in a college weight room we could see him turn into a very useful chess piece with his play on the edge. Check out the tape of the raw athlete.

Stats: 7 TacklesrnComing into the season, Braylon was on our 2025 Watch List, so I was very excited to see the tape start to come out from the junior. Braylon is a long, lean OLB at 6’4″ 190 lbs. The junior has plenty of time to continue to fill out for that role, but is already showing exciting talents. His lateral agility repeatedly kept him away from block attempts from opponents truing to kick him out. He was able to maintain the edge with that agility. Hayes has great speed and range for the position too. He can play down the line or quickly react to RBs running through his gap. Braylon also uses his hands well during his pass rush. I’m excited to see more come from the Verona junior.
