rnErvin Jr. caught the attention of several coaches and attendees, with his ability to take the ball away especially standing out. Ervin Jr. grabbed a whopping 7 interceptions while adding tons of pass breakups. He made high-IQ calls for the defense and laid out tackles during the 11 on 11 period. He was seen as the top 2024 DB in the region just a few years ago, which he showcased early in his career while competing in the Adidas Freshman All-American game with several of the country’s top recruits. The star-studded roster held tons of other standout players who have continued to make names for themselves, such as QB Jayden Davis, CB Ellis Robinson IV, CB Kinsley Foston, RB Chauncey Bowens who recently committed to Georgia, and DB KJ Bolden. I wrote about Ervin’s standout performance at the Oregon State Prospect Camp last week, but he also showed out at the NW Showcase, featuring among another crowded field with his overall skill,  ferocious quickness, and gifted ability to make plays on the ball. At this weekend’s UW and PLU camps, coaches asked Ervin Jr. to line up all over the field in nickel, safety and outside corner spots, and as he’s always been known for, he made plays each time his number was called. Ervin Jr. has trained with Ford Sports Performance since the sixth grade, and credits his versatility and skill development to training and competing against some of the countries top athletes. Ervin Jr. has been clocked in the 40 yard dash with times in the low 4.6’s, reportedly looking closer to the 4.5 range as of late. Tracy Ford, FSP’s Founder and CEO, says that Ervin Jr. has ‘all the makings’ to compete and contribute on a national program. Ervin Jr. has worked with 4th round NFL Draft Pick and two-time Georgia Bulldog National Champion Kelee Ringo, whom he models his mental and physical abilities after. Look for Ervin Jr. to reclaim his national recruit position over the summer as he dominates in-state competition leading into one of the most important senior seasons in the northwest. If he continues his recent run of form, he should jump up both FBS and FCS program’s boards he’s been on for years.
