Ackerman is a dual sport athlete (football/basketball) and one of the top 2025 offensive linemen in the state. At 6’4” 255 lbs. he’s a plus athlete with great growth potential to add size to his frame as he develops. He’s a mauler that explodes at the POA driving his hips and feet through contact to finish opponents to the ground. Has a great ability to sustain his blocks and control defenders with strong hands and good footwork. Love his ability to match movement and use his athleticism to adjust and recover from defenders moves. Plays with a wide base and good contact balance to drive opponents off the ball. In pass protection, he’s quick to get into his set and mixes his hands well to counter moves and hold positioning. Holds two FCS offers to date and was voted 1^st Team All-League on both sides of the ball. He’ll see P5/G5 offers come his way before long.
