Stats: 21 Carries, 273 Yards, 4 TDs, 1 Reception, 66 Yards, 1 INTrnThe 6’1” 195 lbs RB/LB has another week under his belt of dominant play. He will look to finish off the perfect season with a State Championship in a rematch of the 2021 State Championship against Aquinas. There isn’t much of a surprise to Blake’s game at this point. It is impressive how consistent he is on the field. His combo of size/speed/strength are hard to find anywhere else in the state. The game seems slow for him as he quickly picks through defenses. You can see his instincts for the position as he seems to always be in the right position to make a big play. That size/speed/power combo is boosted by those instincts. The senior is a walking big play. He holds a few D2 offers. Keep a close eye on him in his final HS game. He is sure to put on a show. Give him the attention he deserves.

Stats: 11 Carries, 143 Yards, 4 TDs, 1 Reception, 18 Yards, 4 Tackles, 1 FF, 1 INTrnBlake has been one of, if not the most, consistently dominant players in WI this season. Every week he piles up the yards, and TDs, and makes an impact on defense. This week is no different. The 6’1″ 195 lbs athlete made it look easy again this week. Blake checks off so many boxes that you look for. Size, long speed (4.56), power, contact balance, body control. All of those traits stand out on his offensive highlights. He plays like a man among boys, telling me that he is a next level talent without question. D2+ type level of talent. I also believe he isn’t limited to offense at the next level either. His versatility make shim even more valuable. He is a need to know prospect in the Class of 2023.

Stats: 72 Carries, 812 Yards, 14 TDsrnBlake is our highest ranked RB in the top performers. When the season ends he will most likely be ranked even higher too. Despite only having 72 carries, Blake is 4th in rushing yards, 2nd in rushing TDs, and 4th in yards per game. His efficiency is off the charts, and it has led Mayville to a 4-0 record.
It looks, and feels different when watching Blake run the ball. The 6’1″ 195 lbs RB has a fantastic blend of speed and power. He can do everything needed of a college RB. His play between the tackles demonstrates patience, vision, power, and balance to bounce off hits. Outside the tackles, Schraufnagel has the speed to turn every touch into six when he breaks containment. We saw a lot of that last year, but this year he looks like a man among boys. He holds multiple D2 offers, and I wouldn’t’ be shocked to see some FCS schools join the pursuit of his talents.

Stats: 21 Carries, 216 Rushing Yds, 3 TDs, 3 Receptions, 46 Receiving YdsrnThe most productive RB in WI hasn’t missed a beat. Even his highlights waste little time catching your eyes. Play one you see him run through contact, and flash the speed down the sideline. We are also seeing more of his abilities as a receiver. There aren’t many questions surrounding the 6’1″ 190 lbs RB. He is so strong, well balanced, and he able to stay on the field in every situation. The traits all look like they took a step forward this offseason. We are in for some amazing performances form the RB this fall. The next level needs to familiarize themselves with him. Blake holds a few D2 offers, but more will be on the way with what he is putting on tape.
Great team win last night! Here are my stats:
21 Carries for 216 Yards
3 Touchdowns
3 Receptions for 46 yards https://t.co/MDOKEDidMj@MJ_NFLDraft @travisWSN @JoeBeschorner— Blake Schraufnagel (@bschraufnagel20) August 20, 2022

Rise: 136 up to 65rnOur second Mayville product of the article is another athlete who’s tape is a bit deceiving. The 6’1″ 190 lbs athlete is such a smooth mover, especially in the open field, that you don’t realize the type of speed he is playing with. Blake has been repeatedly timed int the 4.5s and it show sup on the field as his highlights are filled with him pulling away in the open field and beating pursuit angles. Blake is one of those special cases where special talent meets elite production numbers. There isn’t an athlete returning to HS fields in WI who had more rushing yards than Blake did in 2021. He has recently started picking up steam in the recruiting world, but he needs more attention. Size. Speed. Strength. Production. It is all there. Be ready for big plays, and even bigger numbers.

Talent. Production. Traits. Look at Blake however you want to. Either way you come away very impressed with the potential within the RB/LB. Blake is going to be the motor that makes the Mayville offense go. His blend of speed, power, and size is college level ready. Look for him to dominate this fall, and see his recruitment pick up. Right now, he is looking like a legitimate steal for a D2 program, and D1s should take a look. He is a surprising talent.
