Coester has been excellent this season and he’s shown great anticipation and diagnoses plays quickly. He does a good job of disengaging from his blocks and close in on the ball carrier. He’s helped clean up a lot of plays and eliminating miscues. He’ll look to continue to be a leader for the Alta defense this week.

Coester is an active backer who does a good job of attacking and shedding blocks. He has good play strength and quick, active hands. He has good anticipation and does a good job of pursuit. Coester is a player who likes to get physical, and he’ll have a productive season.

At the 2025 Power House 5v5 event, Coester showed excellent bend and hip fluidity and speed as a pure edge rusher. He dipped well and was never off-balance or out of position. Coester’s speed won him many matchups. It’ll be exciting to see if he morphs into a hybrid LEO role and rush the quarterback more on Friday nights. A good showing for Coester.

Coester is an instinctive Linebacker who shows good read and react vision. He is light on his feet with good closing speed to track the ball carrier. Coester shows good athleticism and good hand-eye coordination. His play on the offense comes through when you see him in tip drills and his soft hands come into play. He will get into passing lanes and his active hands allow him to be an impactful player in a multitude of ways. Coester does a good job at shedding his blocker to make a play. He knows when to get small and slip past the opposing blocker and has a good burst to finish off a play and get to the ball carrier. Coester has good closing speed and tracks well when in coverage. He can play all three backer positions but is best as a MIKE or WILL backer due to his quick reactionary instincts to the ball and athletic playmaking abilities.

Coester is an athletic prospect that plays the MIKE linebacker position in the Hawk’s defense. Shows agility, body control, hips and coordination to play the position. Plays with initial quickness to read and react. Ability to move through traffic to find ball carriers in the run game. Lateral quickness to move across the LOS. Shows burst as a blitz rusher and ball skills in pass coverage. A sure tackler at the LOS and the open field. Has the size and athleticism to play the MIKE linebacker position in a 4-3 or 3-4 defensive type scheme.
