Entering the summer Beckett was one of the top athletes that I had on my board that I wanted to see in person. It happened at the Wisconsin Badgers camp back in June, and I liked what I saw. The 6’5″ 270 lbs DL has an impressively built frame that will be able to fill out further over the coming years. Don’t let that take away from what he does now, though. Beckett is a force in the trenches. He has an explosive get off and is able to turn that into power to bull rush. The stoutness is also there to hold his ground against the run game. Plus he demonstrated quick feet that are able to move laterally while on the attack. Things are going to really pick up for Beckett when he starts to put out film this season. Keep your eyes peeled for it. Big things coming from this DL.

Beckett is an athlete who I have been hoping to get eyes on since the season ended and I came across his name. He is an intriguing, up and coming talent in the DL trenches. The 6’4″ 275 lbs DL still has so much potential in his frame to tap into and fill out. With another 10-20 lbs over the coming years we could see Beckett become a serious mismatch in the trenches. He already possesses good length and a powerful, quick get off at the snap. His 9’3″ and 9’4″ broad jump help paint the picture of his lower body power. The incoming junior was impressive in the DL drills, showing off quick hips as they worked through bags. In the 1 on 1s I was impressed with the initial power he is able to generate when he meets the OL. Beckett consistently showed off a powerful initial pop and was able to maintain that power as he ran his feet. The ’26 also showed impressive upper body strength and heavy hands when he simply tossed an OL to the side in one of his 1 on 1 battles. This kid was super impressive, and when we get film from him this season we will see him take off on the recruiting circuit.
