Expert Analysis

Beau is a Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase alum that started his camp at Winona with a strong base of agile footwork and balance in his early reps which are two skillsets we have seen develop a bunch since last showcase. He also certainly impressed me most in 1v1s at the end of camp, as this young man showed off some burner instincts with his athletic stamina that shows how tough Beau is from start to finish of every rep he is given at camp or in games we have watched on tape. I have been watching Beau for a couple years now, and I have consistently loved how great this kid’s work ethic is from wherever he lines up.

The ’24 RB grabbed my attention repeatedly during the offensive position work and one on one battles. Beau is a stoutly built RB at 5’9″ 195 lbs. Even with his powerful frame, Beau impressed me with his work during the RB drills. His ability to smoothly cut, juke, or spin demonstrated his strong body control. The soon to be senior RB also impressed in the battles. He had enough speed to make it tough for LBs to run with him in man coverage. His hands also impressed as he plucked the ball out of the air away from his body. It was a good day for one of the top RBs in MN.

A standout RB and LB for Kingsland, who have one of the most promising and talented offensive backfields in Southern MN and small-school football, 5’10, 195 lb. Beau Wiersma has big play speed and stabbed defenses for splash runs both between the tackles and out on the edge of the defense. He’s also got solid balance and vision, and I love when he throws the stiff arm out effectively and propels himself forward and off contact. Also owns some solid LB highlights and a balanced skillset from the RB spot that created a ton of production in 2022. The junior tape also created a solid amount of recruiting attention, and Wiersma is six days out of a Winona State Warriors visit on their junior day. WSU is on the ball with the 2024 recruiting class.
