Not every freshman is as physically advanced as Porter but the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder has already showed his worth not only on the football field but also on the wrestling mat. This past winter he placed 6th in the Class 3A-2A-1A State Wrestling Meet in the 165-pound weight class. Finishing his freshman season with a 35-19 record.

When it came to football, he was an early contributor on a 8-2 Indian squad that barely fell short to the eventual state champs in Hoxie.

He had six receptions for 90 yards from his tight end position and also had 32 tackles (21 solo and 11 assisted), four tackles for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery from his safety position.

He was honored as Honorable Mention All Hi-Plains League at tight end. Definitely keep an eye out for Porter this coming season in both football and wrestling.
