If you’re searching for a breakout candidate for the 2026 season, Dostal would make an excellent choice. Only a sophomore, Dostal contributed 21.0 tackles (14 solo) to an unbeaten state championship run for Xavier in 2025. The long-limbed edge defender came up with 6.0 tackles for loss and three sacks as a member of the Saints’ D-Line rotation. He also forced a fumble. I liked what I saw from Dostal in scouting the semifinal round against Newton. He understands the importance of setting the edge and playing within the framework of the defense. He uses his hands well and gets burst off of the edge on pass rush plays. Dostal bends well and gets under offensive tackles. More strength will come as he fills out his projectable frame.
