Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Weiner is already committed to Princeton, but that didn’t stop him from having a good last game for Valor. Weiner accounted for 14/26 184 yards with 38 rushing yards. It wasn’t the prettiest stat line, but he fought to keep the Eagles in the game. Quick snappy release mixed with good accuracy on all 3 levels makes him a formidable opponent for defenses. When Legend’s defense would create pressure, Weiner stayed poised in the pocket, delivering a rocket to the open receiver. He’s shown to have good mental processing by progressing through his reads. His competitive toughness was highlighted too. When he would run the ball, he wouldn’t give up and kept trying to gain extra yardage. I’m excited to see how he’ll do at Princeton.

Weiner’s junior season was impressive, showing his size, strength, and abilities as a runner. The 6-foot-5 quarterback has an absolute cannon for an arm that would make him an excellent option for an offense that leans toward the Run-and-Shoot or Spread schemes with some RPO concepts. Being in an offense that relies heavily upon the run has showcased his abilities to be a game manager with an unwavering amount of toughness. Weiner’s senior season will be an interesting one to keep tabs on as he works to add more offers to his impressive list.
