Expert Analysis
Dame Lester | Prep Redzone Scout
Glasby is a 6’3”, 170-pound Swiss Army knife who’s got colleges buzzing early. His freshman stat line jumps off the page: 33 tackles (27 solo), 5 TFLs, 4 INTs (including 2 pick-sixes), 2 PBUs, a fumble recovery, and even 2 TDs on offense/special teams. Playing in the Mission League, he showed elite ball skills and open-field tackling which wowed me for his age. The offer sheet is exploding—USC (his first D1), Syracuse, San Diego State, Texas A&M, Oregon State, UCLA, Colorado, Colorado State, and now Kentucky. As a scout, I love his versatility; he could project as a boundary corner or even a hybrid safety. High ceiling here —keep grinding, and he’ll be a national name.

6’3” 170 lbs. he brings rare size and natural ability to the safety position, especially for a freshman. His versatility stands out immediately, he can play the deep center-field role with outstanding range, covering ground effortlessly with his speed and efficient movement, or step down into the slot and hold his own in man coverage. He shows strong instincts on the back end, anticipating ball location early and triggering downhill or across the field with confidence. His acceleration out of his breaks allows him to close windows quickly and influence throws that most young defensive backs can’t reach. Plays well with his eyes to diagnose the play and take good angles to the ball. Shows he can come downhill in run support and be a strong one on one open field tackler. Recruitment is off to a great start with offers coming in from USC, Texas A&M, and SDSU this month.
