Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the fastest-rising defenders in Georgia, Lonon is a playmaking defensive lineman in Athens who earned a big offer this week from Virginia Tech. He’s an active defender who sheds blocks consistently and has a promising 6-foot-3 260-pound frame. He’s coming off a big junior season for Clarke Central where he made 51 tackles, 8 sacks, and 15 TFLs. He’s one of the top returning defenders in Athens and should see a big boost in the next 2026 Prep Redzone rankings.

One of the best defensive linemen in Athens for the 2026 class, Lonon was another easy addition to the latest update after an outstanding junior season where he made 51 tackles, 8 sacks and 15 TFLs for Clarke Central. He’s big and strong at 6-foot-3 260-pounds who showed week after week he’s capable of playing at the collegiate level. If he keeps improving and developing over the next five months he’ll be tough to stop all season long as a senior next fall. He’s now ranked as the No. 23 DL and the No. 326 overall prospect in the state.

One of the more productive defensive linemen across Athens this past season, this sleeper defender brings an excellent blend of quickness and strength for someone who plays in the middle of the trenches at 6-foot-3 245-pounds. He has a great first step off the snap and shoots the gaps well against the run. He’s a sure-tackler who consistently found his way into the backfield last season. He made 48 tackles as a junior with an impressive 13 TFLs and eight sacks. He earned a recent offer from Dartmouth with the potential to add even more sooner than later. He’ll be an easy addition to the next 2026 Prep Redzone update.
