Amare Harper
About Amare
Expert Analysis
Avery Hawkins | Prep Redzone Scout
Harper has looked good to start the season, dominating in a lot of areas on the DL. The 6’1, 270-pound interior lineman looks like he’s quicker and stronger. He’s been very hard to move in the run game and has made multiple TFLs. On offense, he’s the O-Lineman that you run behind when attempting to move the ball. Harper has done a good job of coming off the ball swiftly while shocking the OL. Amare’s improved quickness and brute strength have allowed him to make plays in the backfield. He has one football offer presently from Clarion in the PSAC.

Amare wreaks havoc on the O lines. Harper lines up for Sto Rox at the DE, but collegiately he’ll be in the interior. He has good bend in his stance, and plays with a low pad level. His strength & get off allows him to live in the backfield. Plays well with his hands defeating blocks. He tempos the ball aggressively when tracking the ball carrier. He has good mobility that makes him capable of redirecting well in pursuit. If he has to chase you he is bringing punishment with him. If he continues to develop his explosion he will have to be doubled exclusively.
