On top of what he contributed on offense as a Running Back, which included some creativity taking direct snaps, Hoefs played stellar defense in 2024. Hoefs was one of four Hilltoppers named an NJSYFL All-Star, after leading Summit to a 7-0-1 regular season record in the National Division. An undersized Outside Linebacker as of February 2025, he plays a hard-hitting and bruising brand of football that throwback coaches across the country would love. Plays responsibility-first football, violent and fast. A prime example of his style is on the second play of his film, where he jolts a lead blocker so hard that the lead blocker comes off his feet and into the RB he was supposed to be blocking for. An absolute masterpiece of a play.
