AJ Nuetzel possesses the long, athletic frame that immediately catches your attention at the linebacker position. His length and fluid movement were especially evident in coverage, where he stayed attached to receivers, flipped his hips with ease, and consistently anticipated routes before they developed. He looked comfortable dropping into space and trusted his instincts throughout the day. With plenty of room to continue adding strength, AJ has all the physical traits to develop into one of the more intriguing linebacker prospects in his class.

Tall with plenty of room to continue filling out, AJ Nuetzel has the frame coaches look for at the position. He showed impressive comfort in coverage Saturday afternoon, staying sticky with his assignment while displaying fluid hip movement. AJ’s ability to anticipate routes allowed him to gain an early jump on receivers, and he looked natural dropping into coverage. As he adds strength to his frame, he has the physical tools to develop into a highly sought after backer.

Adam “AJ” Nuetzel Jr. is a stud of a player on the gridiron. He has the ability to flat out make plays, and he is one of the best out of the 2030 class at getting that done. One obvious thing is he is headed to New Jersey for the “RIZE” but it’s his level of performance is what got him to this point, and I expect him to ball out in Jersey!

AJ came into this camp planning to take reps at running back, but ended up shining at backer. Nuetzel measured in at 5100 189, looked very good running 5.14×40. Recorded 4.66 pro shuttle, 7.53 cone, 7’9 broad jump. The Hoosier looked good in linebacker individual drills with his feet and pad level, going through agilities, moving in space. In one on ones, AJ proved to be a high end competitor. He took the camp seriously throughout the day and went hard every rep.
