Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Interstate 35 leaned heavily on Currie during his sophomore campaign of 2025. The running back carried the ball 75 times for 516 yards (6.9 YPC) and four touchdowns. His lone catch picked up 16 yards. Five of his six tackles were solo stops, and he intercepted a pair of passes. Currie also averaged 20.0 yards on a trio of kick returns. The 10th-grade highlight video backs what we see from the statistics. Currie is a well-rounded athlete with the potential to develop for the next level at multiple positions. The film opens with his 16-yard reception, where he runs a route from the backfield down the field and delivers an acrobatic, one-handed grab. It looked like a guy that should see more throws come his way. A patient running back that does well in allowing his blocks to set up, Currie flows along with the action and takes what the defense gives him. There’s burst and another gear once in the clear. Currie’s frame has plenty of room to fill out and add strength without the loss of the speed and agility that already make him effective.
