Another week of the high school football season is in the books in the Lone Star State. Every week we take a look at some prospects that had strong games on Friday nights and opened plenty of eyes in the process. We are going to look at some players that stood out on Thursday and Friday night this week. Let's start our Saturday morning off on a strong note today.

[player_tooltip player_id='688522' first='Austin' last='Carlisle']-Quarterback-Ridge Point-2025

The Ridge Point signal caller is opening plenty of eyes to start the season this season. [player_tooltip player_id='688522' first='Austin' last='Carlisle'] was accurate on Thursday night to all areas of the field. He did a great job of fitting the ball into some tight windows. Carlisle had 4 touchdowns on the night and appears to be just getting warmed up. Look for a strong season from the Ridge Point quarterback this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='277687' first='Micah' last='Hudson']-Wide Receiver-Lake Belton-2024

[player_tooltip player_id='277687' first='Micah' last='Hudson'] is a wide receiver that can take over a football game from an offensive perspective. Hudson touched the ball 17 times for 217-yards and 2 touchdowns on Thursday night this week. The Lake Belton wide receiver continues to raise his game every week and he did that again this week. Hudson is a wide receiver to watch out for the rest of the season. He is off to a tremendous first month of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1244451' first='Hank' last='Hendrix']-Quarterback-Boerne-2027

Freshman quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1244451' first='Hank' last='Hendrix'] has had an impressive debut this season. On Friday night, the Boerne signal caller connected with his wide receivers on multiple touchdown passes. Hendrix does a good job of buying time in the pocket and keeping his eyes down the field to make the throw. Over the next few seasons, he is going to be a prospect to watch out for on the field. Hendrix is a player to watch as the season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='413048' first='Taylor' last='Tatum']-Running Back-Longview-2024

[player_tooltip player_id='413048' first='Taylor' last='Tatum'] is a running back that is having a great season for Longview. He is a difficult running back to bring down and can run over opposing defenders. Tatum is a running back that gets better the more he carries he gets. The Longview running back continues to find the end zone and is putting together a fantastic start to the season. Keep an eye on Tatum for the rest of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='697173' first='Jalen' last='Cooper']-Wide Receiver-Steele-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='697173' first='Jalen' last='Cooper'] did a great job of creating separation and getting open on Friday night. Cooper has the speed and route running to create separation from opposing defensive backs. The Steele wide receiver found the end zone several times Friday night. Cooper is off to a great start this season and I do not expect that to slow down any time soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='146594' first='Mabrey' last='Mettauer']-Quarterback-The Woodlands-2025

Over the past few weeks, Mettauer has opened plenty of eyes this season. He is a quarterback that can hurt you with his arm or his legs. The Woodlands signal caller had another strong night passing this week. He threw for 416-yards and 6 touchdowns on the night. Mettauer is a quarterback that is putting up great numbers and I expect the solid level of play to continue as the season progresses.
