Lets take a look at Part I out of one of Canada’s fastest growing communities.
Tate Larsen Tate Larsen 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Cochrane | 2024 State CAD | TE | 2024 Twitter
I enjoy watching how much patient vision Tate shows when he is within the open field as he shows off fluid steps with his instinct. Tate is also a force to be reckoned with as a lead-blocker as he shows off excellent pad-level and heavy force with his excellent 6’2 235 pound frame that certainly trends well at the next-level already. Tate might not have the biggest speed at the TE, but he runs like a bull when he’s downhill. I see Tate having some position flexibility at the next level on the defensive side of the ball as college defensive coaches will be intrigued with those measurables especially on the defensive front.
Jesse Groot Jesse Groot 5'11" | 205 lbs | LB Cochrane | 2024 State CAD | LB | 2024 Twitter
The massively quick trigger of Cochrane 2024 linebacker Jesse Groot Jesse Groot 5'11" | 205 lbs | LB Cochrane | 2024 State CAD off the snap. Watching his Spring tape, he certainly popped out heavily with his vision as this young man has also plenty of instinct that he plays with on every rep he’s given with a loaded football IQ that you can tell loves attention to detail off the field. Jesse also plays with a plethora of range that can certainly show off a sideline to sideline linebacker. Jesse might not be the biggest linebacker, but man this is certainly a linebacker you go outside the measurables threshold for. One offer from the University of Alberta thus far with a bunch of other college interests.
Ethan Price Ethan Price 6'1" | 210 lbs | RB Cochrane | 2024 State CAD | RB | 2024 Twitter
Ethan is another Cochrane Cobra that plays on tape with boatloads of durability as a 6’1 210 running back as he consistently shows it takes an army to tackle this young man. He also shows off some elusive mobility with his change of direction and I believe that skillset has some upside to be developed even further. As an East-West runner, Ethan is another weapon on this Cobras offense that sheds well thru contact when he is trending downhill as a running back that shows more force once he’s able to get into the second level. Ethan is our 5th ranked running back in all of Canada amongst the 2024 class.
Mateo Andrews | DE | 2024
Mateo might be a slightly undersized defensive end at this point, but you can’t deny this kid’s work ethic with the technique he has with his hands. He is a defensive end you will find in the mesh of the play on just about every rep you find out of him on tape. Mateo’s next level fit will require some development as far as his frame goes but you will certainly like this kid’s impactful vision within the first level of the inside box.
Hudson Hallden Hudson Hallden 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Cochrane | 2024 State CAD | DB | 2024 Twitter
Hudson is a defensive back prospect that plays with some pure instinct with his change of direction he shows off on tape. He does a great job with his vision with tracking the ball as this kid shows off significant amount of range from sideline to sideline from these eyes. Hudson is also a college coaches dream with his physicality with his crashing ability around the edges of the field. He is the definition of a prospect that can come out of nowhere and blow up a play with the big motor in the secondary this kid plays with.
