Team Preview – Euless Trinity: Players to Watch

I, myself, am a Trinity High School alumnus, so I'm well-versed in it's winning tradition and the genetic makeup of the community. Shows a good release off the line of scrimmage with very good separation quickness and acceleration to manipulate defensive backs. Has the suddenness and speed to run past defenders. Very good change of direction, balance, and stop-n-go ability. Had 36 catches for 572 yards and 2 TDs in 2022. I'm surprised Heimuli doesn't have any offers yet but that could change early in the season. The massive offensive tackle played on the junior varsity squad last season and showed adequate athleticism to go along with his massive frame. Falahola is raw skillset-wise, must live in the weight room, and needs development. It's going to take some time for Falahola's movement skills to catch up to his body but he's definitely worth circling back to in three to four games. The young offensive guard is raw but I'm expecting to see a jump in his skillset with another year on varsity. His uncle, LT Tuipulotu, was an all-state defensive lineman for Trinity's 2007 state championship squad, played at the University of Utah, and later signed with the New England Patriots. The quarterback shows good poise in the pocket with very good mental processing. Solid arm strength with good accuracy in short to intermediate throws. He keeps his eyes downfield, shows good accuracy on the move, and can also extend plays with athleticism. The junior is a downhill runner with good speed and can gain the tough yards. His older brothers, Sione (UTEP/Texas State) and James (UTEP), played collegiate ball. Shows good quickness, can sift through traffic, and has the speed bounce it outside. His stiff arm is a weapon. Katoa has very good athleticism, feet, and balance especially for someone his size. He's a physical mauler who moves furniture with powerful leg drive. The youngster is already a powerful striker who bullies defenders through the whistle and plays with a maturity beyond his age. Katoa holds FBS offers from Texas State and Utah State and could eventually have every major offer in the country if he can manage his weight. His family is littered with collegiate and professional athletes in bodybuilding, track, rugby, and football.
