How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am explosive and always looking for the ball to help my team make plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mindset is to get better every day with every practice, training, and weightlifting.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Class president, 4th in the state at the 2023 WV Science Bowl, NSHSS, and received the Promise Scholarship as a 15 year old.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I started on the first playoff team Oak Hill High School has produced in many years and i think my leadership and teamwork helped lead us to success.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Our football team lost in the first round last year and it has motivated me to come back this year bigger, stronger, faster, and mentally tougher.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that wants my talents with their program.

One of the best defensive line prospects in the state of West Virginia for the 2026 class is Oak Hill’s James Ludwig James Ludwig James Ludwig 6'3" | 225 lbs | DL Oak Hill | 2026 State WV who places on our Perfect EDGE/DE Build for strength. Ludwig is a stout 6’3 230 defensive end who’s also athletic but shows physical strength and physicality on film. He has the potential to continue to grow into an interior defensive lineman at the next level given his frame and has reps at that alignment on his junior tape as well. Ludwig is a high-effort player and pursues the ball relentlessly. His power jumps out when watching his film and makes it difficult for offensive linemen to slow him down with a powerful bull rush and good use of his hands as well.
