He's dangerous in the open field and is looking to score on any particular run. Ranked as the No. 147 in the state of Georgia now in the latest Prep Redzone update, Phillips is coming off a dynamic junior season where he rushed 160 times for 1,164 yards and 21 touchdowns. A tough, physical, intimidating presence on the Savannah Christian defense, the 6-foot-1 200-pound defender had an extremely productive junior season last fall where he made 100 tackles, 18 TFLs, four sacks, and an outstanding five interceptions. He's excellent in coverage, shows tremendous ball skills, and knows to attack the ball-carrier in the run game. He gets sideline to sideline, sheds blocks, and knows how to finish tackles. A long, athletic defender at 6-foot-4 215-pounds, Davis is one of the very best overall defenders in the Albany area and currently committed to play at Ole Miss. His length and get-off is easy to notice, and when he gets to the ball-carrier, he knows how to deliver a big hit. He's someone who demands a double-team and has a nose for the football. He runs well for his size, a natural pass-rusher, and could really dominate as a senior in 2023.
