Both Hunter Haines Hunter Haines 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB West Linn | 2024 State OR and Hayden George Hayden George 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Lebanon | 2024 State OR have had outstanding off seasons with Will Haverland Will Haverland 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL Sheldon | 2024 State OR being one of the most underrated kids in the region in my opinion. Also make note of Brysen Kachel at #12. The highest ranked athlete without a D1 offer. That will change soon.

COMPLETE TOP 200 + Watch List https://prepredzone.com/2023/07/updated-2024-oregon-rankings-7/
1. Jayden Fortier Jayden Fortier 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Tualatin | 2024 State OR 6-5 220 TE Tualatin COMMITTED: Arizona St
UPDATE: I like Fortier’s decision to commit to ASU. He would have added other Pac 12’s separate from the Arizona schools. Coach Dillingham is the real deal and I’m guessing Fortier will be listed among the top TE’s in the conference before he’s done.
Previous Analysis: Fortier is one of the fastest rising recruits on the west coast and deserving of the #1 spot. Look for him to land a handful of power five offers in the coming months, including numerous PAC 12s. His 30+ receptions for 500 yards and 5 TDs from last year, are just a glimpse of what he could do this coming season.
2. Devin Brooks Devin Brooks 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Clackamas | 2024 State OR 6-4 290 OL Clackamas COMMITTED: Oregon
UPDATE: Brooks is still a wait and see even after being offered by most of the Pac 12 including USC. He should be a multiyear starter for the Ducks as an interior lineman, and absolutely dominate Oregon HS football upfront this season if the projection is accurate.
Previous Analysis: Brooks projects at Guard but is versatile enough to play multiple spots at the highest level, making him that much more of an appealing recruit. For the 2nd year in a row, he earned 1st team all-league honors for the Cavs who finished the year 5-6.
3. Wiley Donnerberg Wiley Donnerberg 6'4" | 200 lbs | ATH West Linn | 2024 State OR 6-4 200 ATH West Linn OFFERS (3) Nevada, Idaho, Portland St
UPDATE: As referenced in the premise I could see Donnerberg being the #1 or #2 recruit in the state when all is said and done. He’s that good. Once the universities figure it out, I would expect numerous FBS programs to be vying for his services.
Previous Analysis: Donnerberg has the potential to be the #1 recruit in the state in my opinion. Expect him to blow up this off season and add double digit FBS offers. He’s the most versatile kid in Oregon and should double his production on both sides of the ball in 2023, after earning 1st team all TRL accolades and catching 29 passes for 586 yards and 4 TDs.
4. Joey Olsen Joey Olsen 6'6" | 220 lbs | TE Lakeridge | 2024 State OR 6-6 240 TE Lakeridge COMMITTED: USC
UPDATE: Olsen has put on some legit size and will play TE in college. This year will be telling as he should be dominant in any 1 on 1 situation. He has the speed of a WR and Oregon HS DB’s should not be able to guard him straight up.
Previous Analysis: Olsen is a phenomenal overall athlete who earned 1st team all-league honors in back-to-back seasons. Over the last three years he’s caught 82 passes for 1,652 yards and 20 TDs, while averaging 20.1 yards per catch. The biggest question mark comes with what position he plays at the next level. He will be called upon to lead the Pacers this year after winning one conference game in 2022.
5. AJ Pugliano AJ Pugliano 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE North Medford | 2024 State OR 6-3 225 TE North Medford COMMITTED: Oregon
UPDATE: After committing to the Ducks Pugliano hasn’t done much from a camp perspective. We will find out if that matters and how much progression he has made by what he does this coming season. He dropped from #1 to #4 in the 247 rankings.
Previous Analysis: 247 has Pugliano at #1 so I could be wrong on this. He was dominant for North last season earning 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the football. It will be interesting to see how he fits in at TE for the Ducks as they traditionally have a certain type of athlete at that position.
6. Trent Ferguson Trent Ferguson 6'7" | 300 lbs | OL West Salem | 2024 State OR 6-7 300 OL West Salem COMMITTED: Oregon
UPDATE: You can’t teach 6-7 300 pounds and incredibly athletic (basketball). As most know Ferguson blew up after playing only 4 games last season, being offered by the likes of USC, Oregon St and Washington St as well. From a football standpoint he’s still raw, which could translate into him being one of the nation’s top lineman if he puts it all together.
7. AJ Noland AJ Noland 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB Tualatin | 2024 State OR 6-2 180 ATH Tualatin OFFERS (14) Utah St, Colorado St, Nevada, Montana, Montana St
UPDATE: I would consider Noland to be the best overall athlete in Oregon. As good as he is at hoops, imagine if he dedicates all that time to football. His upside is off the charts as I would expect numerous P5 schools to compete for his services with a similar season to last.
Previous Analysis: The recent offers speak for themselves. Much like Fortier, he is a winner in every sense of the word. He was the only player in Oregon to earn 1st team all-conference honors at WR, DB, and as a return man. He will project as a Three Rivers League Player of the Year favorite on both sides of the football. Expect the likes of Oregon St and Washington St to eventually go on him.
8. Elias Johnson Elias Johnson 6'3" | 170 lbs | DB Jesuit | 2024 State OR 6-3 175 CB Jesuit OFFERS COMMITTED: Washington
UPDATE: Elias’ stock shot up as much as any athlete in Oregon. The way he handled things on the recruiting front was impressive. This could be a huge pickup for the Huskies. With limited football experience his ceiling is incredibly high.
Previous Analysis: The 6-3 CB has played out of his mind the last few months on the 7v7 circuit for Team Alpha. He started playing football late, so his 2nd team all-league honors last season could turn into 1st team all-state accolades in 23′. Look for him to be a multi offer D1 guy.
9. Will Haverland Will Haverland 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL Sheldon | 2024 State OR 6-5 230 DE Sheldon OFFERS (2) Montana, Portland St
UPDATE: One of the biggest sleepers in the NW in my opinion. A few Big Sky’s have caught on as will numerous others. The frame, wingspan, and his elite first step off the ball speaks to his unlimited potential.
Previous Analysis: Probably the fastest rising recruit in Oregon. Haverland went somewhat under the radar, playing opposite the state’s #1 recruit for 2022 in Ducks commit Teitum Tuioti. That being said he has film and an 81″-inch wingspan which speaks for itself, racking up 29 total tackles, with 12.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack last season.
10. Clay Martineau Clay Martineau 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Oregon City | 2024 State OR 6-3 210 LB Oregon City COMMITTED: Boise St
UPDATE: Martineau is pushing 6-4 and plays with unmatched versatility. I could see him playing early for the Broncos and being one of the best in the conference.
Previous Analysis: One of the fastest rising athletes anywhere in the NW. Martineau has looked outstanding on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Lillard, after catching 39 passes for 488 yards and 4 TDs and making 63 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks on D.
11. Dexter Foster Dexter Foster 6'4" | 210 lbs | LB Central Catholic | 2024 State OR 6-4 210 OLB Central Catholic OFFERS (2) Oregon St, Montana St
UPDATE: Foster helped himself out over the off season, excelling at multiple camps while making the transfer to CC. Credit to the Beavers for coming in on him early as other Pac 12’s will likely do the same. His overall athleticism and length speak for itself.
Previous Analysis:The 2x PIL 1st team all-league OLB made the transfer from Roosevelt to Central Catholic. Roughriders coach Ryan McCants is one of the best in the state, but the PIL is a disaster and Foster will end up with multiple division 1 offers playing at CC.
12.Brysen Kachel 6-3 235 LB West Albany
UPDATE: The highest ranked player on this list without a D1 offer was also named the Mid-Willamette Conference Player of the Year in basketball, to put his overall athleticism into perspective. Expect him to land a few offers soon.
Previous Analysis: Kachel has put together one of the most impressive resumes of any player in Oregon, being named the Mid-Willamette Conference Defensive POY and one of only two underclassmen listed as a 1st team all-state athlete. This after being the only sophomore in Oregon to earn all-state honors on both sides of the football. He will have multiple options at the D1 level.
13. Hayden George Hayden George 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Lebanon | 2024 State OR 6-4 235 TE Lebanon OFFERS (2) Nevada, Portland St
UPDATE: George has had an outstanding off season, impressing at multiple camps. His combination of fluid route running ability and size make him one of the more appealing recruits in the state.
Previous Analysis: One of the fastest rising players on this board. George earned unanimous 1st team honors at TE and 2nd team LB accolades, going for 542 yards and 10 TDs on 32 touches (12 receptions, 20 rushes). His size and overall athleticism gives him a real shot at the next level.
14. Hunter Haines Hunter Haines 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB West Linn | 2024 State OR 6-2 190 S West Linn OFFERS (2) Idaho, Portland St
UPDATE: I could see Haines ranked in the top 10 when all is said and done. He continues to run 4.5 laser 40’s with a 36-inch vert. Separate from those numbers, his instincts in the secondary are elite.
Previous Analysis: As most know Haines comes from an impressive family, earning unanimous 1st team all-conference and honorable mention all-state accolades this past season. The 3* talent showed off some unique intangibles and the closing speed necessary to play at the highest level.
15.Charlie Crowell 6-5 230 TE Summit COMMITTED: Arizona
UPDATE: Just a great kid and overall athlete. Credit to Crowell on the early commitment to Arizona over the likes of Cal and Washington St. There is still a lot to be proven on the field, but you can’t teach the size and athletic ability.
Previous Analysis: The next few months will be telling for Crowell on the camp circuit as you can’t teach the size and overall athleticism. He is part one of the deepest TE groups in Oregon history and will need to step up and have a monster year for the defending 5A state champs, as they graduate a ton of talent.
16.Terrell Kim 6-3 325 OL North Medford OFFERS (6) Oregon St, Fresno St, San Jose St, Nevada, Portland St
UPDATE: This kid’s stock has shot through the roof with Oregon St being an early front runner. Kim has the potential of being one of the top interior lineman in the West, garnering praise from numerous highly respected individuals on the camp circuit.
Previous Analysis: Over the last few years Kim has been one of the most successful lineman in the region. He earned 1st team all-league honors as a sophomore and 2nd team all-league accolades as a junior, which doesn’t do him justice. Look for him to be the offensive lineman of the year in the SWC.
17. Gus Donnerberg Gus Donnerberg 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE West Linn | 2024 State OR 6-4 220 LB/TE West Linn OFFERS (2) Idaho, Portland St
UPDATE: Much like his brother the Sky’s the limit. He’s a different type of player than his sibling but similar in talent. Where he fits in positionally is a question, although he does provide universities with options being relatively versatile.
Previous Analysis: Donnerberg has had one of the best-off seasons of any player in Oregon thus far, as you have to like his overall agility and length. He earned 2nd team all TRL honors on both sides of the football and honorable mention all-state accolades at TE.
18. Roman Martin Roman Martin 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Tigard | 2024 State OR 6-2 180 CB Tigard OFFERS (5) UNLV, Nevada, Pitt, Ohio, Portland St
UPDATE: Martin landed a handful of D1 offers over the off season and will have a chance to be the guy for the Tigers this season. Everyone is now aware of his ability so we will see how that translates in TRL play.
Previous Analysis: Martin has a stock which is rising quickly, adding three D1 offers in the last few months. The 2nd team all-league CB is long and athletic as he can play multiple spots in the secondary.
19. Liam Cassidy Liam Cassidy 6'5" | 300 lbs | DL Jesuit | 2024 State OR 6-5 300 DL/OL Jesuit OFFERS (3) UNLV, Nevada, Portland St
UPDATE: Versatility is a huge plus for Cassidy but there are still numerous question marks. All eyes will be on him this coming season with Jesuit graduating most of their offensive & defensive line.
Previous Analysis: As a sophomore Cassidy earned 1st team all-league honors on D. As a Junior he earned 2nd team honors on O, showing off his overall versatility and ability to play anywhere. The Crusaders graduate the top line in the state, and they will be inexperienced upfront, making Cassidy’s role that much more important this coming season.
20. Stephen Del Giudice Stephen Del Giudice 6'5" | 240 lbs | OL West Linn | 2024 State OR 6-5 240 T West Linn
UPDATE: This is a tough one for me from a rankings standpoint because I really like Del Giudice’s game. For a kid that weighs 240 pounds he is physically dominant and aggressive upfront. That said, it’s a size thing when projecting on the offensive line.
Previous Analysis: Del Giudice earned 1st team all-league honors this past season and has the frame to add substantial size. He plays with a no-nonsense demeanor and has been physically dominant up front. These next few months will be telling on the camp circuit.
21. Gabe Staszak Gabe Staszak 6'6" | 270 lbs | OL South Medford | 2024 State OR 6-6 260 DE/T South Medford COMMITTED: Idaho
UPDATE: It’s good to see the Big Sky schools starting to offer as Staszak is deserving. He could very well end up on the offensive side of the ball, with Idaho making their intentions known there.
Previous Analysis: I would expect Staszak to rival Pugliano and Will Haverland Will Haverland 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL Sheldon | 2024 State OR for SWC Defensive POY honors this coming season. He’s added some legit size on an already impressive frame, after making 41 total tackles, with 7 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks in 2022.
22. Lonnie Burt Lonnie Burt 6'1" | 200 lbs | ATH Jesuit | 2024 State OR 6-1 210 RB/LB Jesuit
UPDATE: Just a phenomenal overall athlete who will be a multi offer D1 kid. Burt comes from a talented family with division 1 genes. Look for him to lead the state statistically this coming season.
Previous Analysis: Burt Jr. will be a Metro League POY favorite after a dominant 1st team all-league season at LB in 2022. With the graduation of Payton Roth, he could very well be the state’s leading rusher next year, while averaging 8 yards per carry with 7 TDs in limited time last season.
23. Cru Newman Cru Newman 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Central Catholic | 2024 State OR 5-11 175 QB Central Catholic
UPDATE: Newman is consistently the best player on the field. His recent MVP performance at the Oregon Les Schwab Bowl All Star Game, only helped reinforce how good he is.
Previous Analysis: The 2x Mt Hood POY has been nothing short of phenomenal the last two seasons, throwing 63 TDs with 4 INTs, while hitting on 67% passes with 5000+ passing yards. The 3* recruit will be a D1 guy at some level and go down as one of the most successful QB’s in Oregon HS football history.
24. Kenen Elder Kenen Elder 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Tualatin | 2024 State OR WR Tualatin OFFERS (4) Nevada, Navy, Air Force, Portland St
UPDATE: Elder made the biggest jump of any athlete in the state on the PRZ Rankings board. His route running ability is as good as anyone in Oregon, coming in as an MVP finalist among the top athletes in the West, at the NW Showcase at WOU.
25. Andre Miller Andre Miller 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Nelson | 2024 State OR ATH Nelson OFFERS (1) Portland St
UPDATE: Another kid who excelled at the Les Schwab Bowl and over the off season. Miller was one of the top players in attendance at the LSB, making multiple plays which turned heads. The transfer to Nelson was a good move.
Previous Analysis: Miller has looked outstanding on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Lillard, after earning 1st team all-league DB and 2nd team WR accolades last season. He’s one of the most versatile kids in the state, finishing tied for the 6A lead in INTs with (5).
