We've got 3 recruits in the 2025 class who could be hidden gems for the right program down the road. All 3 have flashed to this point and shown potential, but it's what they do this fall that will show how far they can go.

[player_tooltip player_id='891752' first='Royce' last='Hollins'] - Hanover Central - WR/DB - 5'10" 160lbs

Hollins is a springy athlete who is really just beginning to blossom. This past year, he's hit a big growth spurt, shot up almost half a foot, and put on a good 25lbs. He's really begun to look confident on the field and has had a good summer at a few camps as well. He's still a bit light, but could easily fill out his frame by the time he graduates. With that growth spurt, he's gotten more twitchy and dynamic with the ball in his hand. He doesn't have a full route tree yet, but it's in progress. He's got excellent tracking and ball skills in general, which has allowed him to be a 2-way player. He's got a good backpedal and feel for the DB spot in general. I can see him playing and impacting both ways, but the worst-case scenario is he's going to break out at WR this fall.

Twitter: @Itsroycedagoat

[player_tooltip player_id='891753' first='Jayse' last='Kuntz'] - Woodlan - WR/DB - 5'11" 160lbs

Kuntz is a really intriguing player heading into this fall for me. He's just a good athlete who has flashed quite a bit on both sides of the ball but hasn't really solidified a breakout for either side. He's got great range, change of direction, and ball skills which bodes well for his DB background. He's willing to come up and play the run as well on defense. Offensively, he's someone who strikes me as a good slot WR. His shiftiness and ability to change direction get him open pretty quickly. With the ball in his hands, he can become slippery. If he learns to read zones and find the open spots, he could eat defenses alive. Last year on defense, he put up 25 solo tackles and was a really solid last line of defense that didn't break. His offensive background is something that can help propel him on defense. Either way, Kuntz is someone you should circle this fall to see what he does, because he's primed for a big year on either, or both, sides of the ball.

Twitter: @260Jayse

[player_tooltip player_id='891754' first='Jimmy' last='Johnsen'] - Lake Central - OL/DL - 6'5" 275lbs

Johnsen is the most obvious breakout candidate this fall once you see him on the field. The raw abilities and size is there, and he's shown flashes to this point. He's clearly an advantage to have upfront, with his size alone being able to intimidate defenders. He's got a real collegiate-type frame that could develop and really thicken up in a college lifting program. I think he's more likely to stay on the offensive side, but it's not to say he can't play defense. He's sound, strong, and able to bullrush at times. I just think he looks really good on the move and sealing the edge of a line. I do think he needs to refine his game some, work on keeping his body under control, and then just learn more upfront, but he checks all the boxes as a guy you bring in, develop, and watch light-up Saturdays down the road. I'm a big fan of Johnsen and what he can be long-term.

Twitter: @JimmyJohnsen07

We've got 3 recruits in the 2025 class who could be hidden gems for the right program down the road. All 3 have flashed to this point and shown potential, but it's what they do this fall that will show how far they can go.
