<p>You can read about the quarterbacks <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/06/23-preseason-super-7-8-player-quarterbacks/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HERE</a>, and now we'll take a look at seven standout runnings backs in each class. Here's Class A:</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='156493' first='Corder' last='Noun Harder'], '24, Lynnville-Sully - </strong>Noun Harder (5-9, 170) rumbled for 1,896 yards (11.1 YPC) and 27 touchdowns last season. He added 13 receptions for 160 yards and two scores. On defense, he totaled 27 solo tackles, including one for loss. He also contributed two Pick-6s, returned three kicks for 132 yards and a TD, and brought back 13 punts for 312 yards and three scores. When viewing his <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/14866185/63868d6f90eec3053c9c55e5" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">junior highlights</a></strong>, you see an athlete who causes problems for opponents whenever the ball is in his hands. He does a nice job patiently setting up his blocks whether he's rushing or returning. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='506013' first='Kaden' last='Amigon-Suiter'], '24, Columbus - </strong>After hitting play on Amigon-Suiter's <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12592058/634eca0ee97a270d2891066a" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">junior highlights</a></strong>, you see his big-play ability right out of the chute. He gives you a 91-yard rushing touchdown followed by him forcing a fumble and taking it 81 yards for a score. Once he breaks onto the second level, it often becomes a footrace he wins. He piled up 1,872 yards (11.8 YPC) and 26 touchdowns on the ground. He added 38 solo tackles (2.0 for loss), returned four kicks for 126 yards and a score, and one punt for 43 yards. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='245821' first='Luke' last='Sternberg'], '25, AHSTW - </strong>You'll enjoy watching Sternberg's <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/17089928/6369af4ba022a80530f4f0fd" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">sophomore highlights</a></strong>. He gets the ball and goes while still exhibiting patience and solid vision. He changes directions well and keeps his legs churning. Also, he will lower his shoulder and pick up tough yards. The 6-foot, 185-pounder gained 1,791 yards (10.7 YPC) and scored 25 times on the ground last season. He also caught 12 balls for 146 yards and four touchdowns. He racked up 35 solo tackles and intercepted four passes on defense. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='248020' first='Tanner' last='Thurn'], '24, East Buchanan - </strong>Thurn (5-9, 170) earned third-team all-state honors from the IPSWA at linebacker as a junior in '22. He recorded an absurd 20.0 tackles for loss with 3.0 sacks and 49 solo tackles. Watching his <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/14643415/634c02f964df6203a4fa32a8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">highlight clip</a></strong>, you see an athlete delivering big plays on both sides of the ball. He rushed for 1,474 yards (8.2 YPC) and 21 touchdowns last fall, adding an amazing 19 two-point conversions. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='986657' first='Lance' last='McShane'], '24, Maquoketa Valley - </strong>The 6-foot-2, 190-pound McShane rushed for 1,297 yards (6.9 YPC) and 19 touchdowns in '22. He also hauled in 17 passes for 231 yards and two scores. On defense, he recorded 47 solo tackles and 13.5 stops for loss. Two of this three interceptions were Pick-6s. During his <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/14829376/630bb40ce984c908541c9027" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">junior highlights</a></strong>, you see a player that plays fast on both sides of the ball. He hits the hole hard as a running back, showing good top-end speed. He sees the field well with good reactions as a linebacker. </p>

<p><strong>Kale Zuehl, '24, West Hancock - </strong>A district champion on the wrestling mat, Zuehl (5-11, 200) also stands out on the gridiron. He rushed for 1,196 yards and 15 touchdowns last fall. Zuehl makes this list based on production last season in a historically strong program. His <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/14897100/625ee8d3b535bc08cc87913c" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">one video on Hudl</a></strong> only includes a handful of runs. They feature a physical back that can get chugging once underway. </p>

<p><strong>Ty Alcott, '25, Belle Plaine - </strong>Alcott (5-10, 170) enjoyed a fine sophomore campaign in '22, when he rushed for 1,161 yards and 17 touchdowns. On defense, he contributed 21 solo tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack. He intercepted two passes, averaged 18.4 yards on eight kick returns and 11.6 on eight punt returns. His <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/16327703/64698b16bed70c0bcc8006f2" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">highlights against North Mahaska</a></strong> show a downhill runner also capable of making defenders miss and a disruptive linebacker with good quickness. </p>
