6’4” 210 lbs. Shepp carries an ideal physical profile for a college level TE. Combines his size, toughness, and versatility to impact both the run and pass game. Can line up and be effective as an H-back, split out in the slot, or as a traditional inline TE. As a receiver, he’s a big and reliable target with a large catch radius to win in traffic. Does a good job finding the soft spot in coverage at the short/intermediate levels but also shows he can stretch the field vertically over the middle. He’s flashes strong hands securing the ball cleanly and can extend to play it outside his framework. Aggressive blocker at the POA showing he can over power opponents and sustain throughout the play. Can kick out, seal the edge, or work to the perimeter and be effective blocking in space. A quality prospect that is recruitable on either side of the ball. Would expect college attention to increase this offseason.
Shepp is the next up and coming young tight end prospect across California and is coming off a year where he saw plenty of Varsity reps playing one of the top teams in the state. He has the ideal frame and catch radius for the position, sure hands in traffic and does a nice job chunking yards at the second level to create separation and using his frame to box out smaller defenders. Also getting reps on the offensive line last year, Shepp has good position versatility on both sides of the ball and tons of intriguing growth potential moving forward.
Another California Tight End that has a shot to do some big things. I don’t have official measurements, but I don’t think he’s the 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds he’s listed at. However, he’s still a long kid. Does a pretty good job with his hand in the dirt as a blocker on the line of scrimmage, but obviously is a mismatch for defenses in the pass game. Played for the Ventura Packers in 2023-2024.
