About Dereon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm fast and can move well. I have pretty good vision to find my hole and I'm quick enough to hit it and maneuver whichever way I need to quickly come out and have a successful run

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm an easygoing person. I'm approachable and very coachable. I'm very family-oriented and I'l make new friendships no matter where I go. I'm very driven when it's something that I love to do. Football is my passion and that's what drives me the most

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I volunteer as a coaching assistant for the local AAU team called The Grizzlies in my county. I take pride in being able to help young kids do something positive with their lives

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My most significant challenge in life so far is outgrowing friends. It hurts but I know it's for the best for me and them

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love a D1 college the most but I also take a D2 or D3. I want to make sure that I get my full and proper education as well as play sports for them and possibly progressing on to the pros one day

Though he’s on the smaller side, Garner has a ton of wiggle as a runner, and he’s able to escape tackles that even bigger players struggle to break. He does a little bit of everything for Eastern Alamance, playing running back, receiver, special teams, and even the occasional defensive back. Garner is more explosive than the testing numbers suggest and he’s another guy who could have a big junior season.
