In just one half of play, it was a special performance put on by the Hills East quarterback. Heyman has shown tremendous improvement from his junior year and he has been slinging the ball all over the field. Against Centereach he registered 329 yards and 5 touchdowns in just the first half. Heyman did an excellent job of moving around in the pocket and scrambling to the outside where he continuously made excellent throws. Heyman threw a perfect 55 yard bomb in stride to his receiver for a long touchdown. That was easily one of the top plays I’ve seen this year and he was in complete control of the entire game against Centereach, he’ll be tested against a good Bellport defense next game.

One of the biggest improvements I’ve seen in Heymans game has been the IQ and decision making he’s developed. Last summer I saw some forces and questionable throws in certain situations. This year it’s completely different, as Heyman is much smarter and also is making better reads. At the 7v7 at St Anthony’s the deep ball was on display. Heyman was firing the rock downfield and he was hitting

right on the money. In the Stony Brook 7v7 semi-finals, Heyman made a ton of high percentage throws, hitting his receivers on short and intermediate routes. He consistently marched his team down the field and put his players in a position to succeed.

Every time I’ve seen the Hills East product this summer, I’ve walked away impressed. The deep ball placement Heyman showed was really impressive at the downstate classic. His timing was also some of the best on his throws, you can tell how much more experienced he is with an entire season under his belt. The reps with his wide receiver

were terrific and he also showed consistency with other receivers during the event, keep an eye out for the strong armed QB.

It was fun watching Heyman throw the ball all over the field. He threw one of the nicest deep balls out of that entire weekend. He took command of his offense and was torching defenses at times. He did a great job spreading the wealth around to different receivers. He made good reads against different coverages, and Heyman is easily a candidate to be one of the top quarterbacks in New York
